Sharna Burgess Life

Sharna May Burgess (born 21 June 1985) is an Australian ballroom dancer best known for her role as a professional partner and troupe member on ABC's Dancing with the Stars.

With her celebrity partner, Bobby Bones, and a three-time runner-up, she is the champion of season 27 of Dancing with the Stars.

She has also weighed in on the Australian version of Dancing With The Stars.

Early life

Burgess was born in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, Australia, to Ray and Lucy Burgess. Despite being a tomboy, Burgess discovered a passion for dance. As an infant, she was active in many sports and various styles of dance. She began training in ballet, jazz, and gymnastics at the age of five. She began studying ballroom at age eight, and she went on to win a number of local and national titles. She was selected to represent Australia in both the Standard and Latin styles at the World Championships in 2000, and in the 2000 Summer Olympics Closing Ceremonies.

Personal life

Burgess discovered a small tear in her knee ligaments after her appearance in the World Championships semi-finals. She insisted on completing the competition rather than taking immediate action. Because she ripped two ligaments in half and lost all of the meniscus in one knee, she needed knee ligament reconstruction surgery.

Paul Kirkland, choreographer and dancer, was dated from 2010 to 2015.

She is currently dating Brian Austin Green. They met in 2020 after being introduced by mutual acquaintances. They revealed in February 2022 that they were expecting their first child together. Their son was born on June 28th, 2022.

Burgess declared herself a resident of the United States on October 6, 2022.
