Albert Sahlén Zelmerlöw (born 13 June 1986) is a Swedish pop star and television presenter.

Early life and education

Birgitta Sahlén, a Lund University lecturer, and surgeon Sven-Olof Zelmerlöw were born in Lund, Mns Zelmerlöw. Zelmerlöw studied music in high school in Lund and was part of a school choir project. In 2002, he appeared in the musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in Slagthuset, Malmö, as one of the brothers.

Zelmerlöw said he considered homosexuality an avvikelse in March 2014, when a visitor on Swedish cooking show Pluras kök commented that homosexuality was a "derogation." On the program, he said he did not think there was anything wrong with homosexuality, but that it is not necessarily healthy biologically, since it does not lead to reproduction. He was in a relationship with Swedish singer and model Marie Serneholt, a former member of Swedish pop band A-Teens, between 2008 and 2011. Zelmerlöw began dating British actress Ciara Janson, who then revealed their engagement. Zelmerlöw and Baudelhorn confirmed in December 2017 that they were expecting a child together. He announced that the baby would be a boy a few weeks later. The pair live in Surrey, just outside London. Ciara had given birth to Albert's son, Albert, on May 25, 2018 via social media. On September 5, the two couples married on September 5th, 2019. Ciara's second son, Ossian Matteus Zelmerlöw, was born on August 9, 2022, Zelmerlöw, who died on Instagram.

Career

Zelmerlöw first appeared on television screens in 2005 as he appeared in season 2 of the Swedish version of Idol. He came in fifth place overall and was disqualified on November 11 after eight weeks on the show. He had been in the bottom three three times and twice in the bottom two, as well as the bottom two.

Zelmerlöw appeared in Let's Dance's first season in 2006, collaborating with Maria Karlsson. They won the competition, beating singer Anna Book in the final.
