Jean-Pierre Barda (born 7 March 1965) is a Swedish and Israeli musician, makeup artist, and hair stylist of French/Algerian Jewish descent.
He is best known for being one of the founding members of the pop group Army of Lovers.
Music and acting career
Barda's career began with Alexander Bard as a member of the music group Barbie. He started calling himself Farouk but then reverted to his true name as Barbie later became the Army of Lovers. Barda has been with the company through all of its iterations.
Barda considered joining Bodies Without Organs, a new band formed in 2004. Barda's explicit participation in the development of BWO's first single "Life in a Fantasy" was not realized, and it continued only as far as co-writing BWO's first single "Life in a Dream."
