Early life
Carro was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She was encouraged to act by her parents as a way of overcoming her shyness. She attended theater school with the support of her high school drama coach Gerry Campbell (father of Neve Campbell).
Career
Carro began her work with appearances in The Chris Isaak Show, Smallville, and The L Word. Louanne "Kat" Katraine appeared in a Battlestar Galactica TV series. Kat was designed as a one-off, debuting as a trainee Viper pilot, but producers loved Carro's appearance and made Kat a recurring role.
