Early life
She graduated from Chaminade College Preparatory School in 1999 and enrolled at Loyola Marymount University, where she concentrated on film production.
Personal life
Angela Mitchell's 15-year-old friend Angela was killed in a car crash in 1997. Mitchell's book Chicken Soup for the Preteen Soul told how the death profoundly affected her. Based on her own experiences, the 7th Heaven episode "Nothing Endures But Change" was based on her own experience. "Angel," her debut album, was also written for her late friend.
Mitchell married Michael Cameron, her long-time partner, in Ravello, Italy, on the Amalfi Coast, on October 1, 2008. Jessica Biel and Mackenzie Rosman, two former Heaven cast members, served as bridesmaids. They have a son and two daughters.
Career
In The Crow: City of Angels, Mitchell's first big film role was played by the teenage drug addict Grace. She auditioned as a child actor in The Crow's role of Mary Camden in a new family drama, 7th Heaven, during the shooting of The Crow in 1996. Producers at first refused her because they did not think she was able to portray Mary. However, when she first read for the role of sister Lucy, she was immediately cast. Heaven was extremely popular, with 11 seasons ending.
In 2000, she appeared in The Amanda Show as a customer in Moody's Point.
Mitchell appeared Erica Enders-Stevens in the Disney Channel original film Right on Track, based on the early career of the 2014 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series Pro Stock champion and her sister Courtney Enders, who was played by Brie Larson.
Mitchell played Laura Hunter in the horror film Saw 2 in 2005, during a break from filming 7th Heaven.
In 2006, she made her debut album, Beverley Mitchell, with record producer D. Scott Miller in Nashville, Tennessee, bringing her lifelong ambition of becoming a country music singer true. She co-wrote eight of the songs on the album, including the hit single "Angel."
