Liberty Mariposa Phoenix (born July 5, 1976) is an American former child actor.

She is the older sister of Summer Phoenix and the younger sister of River Phoenix, Rain Phoenix, and Joaquin Phoenix.

Early life

Arlyn Sharon (née Dunetz), her mother, was born in New York to Jewish parents from Russia. John Lee Bottom's father, John Lee Bottom, was from California and has English, German, and French roots.

Personal life

Andy Lord, the poet, has been married to Phoenix. She works with the River Phoenix Center for Peacebuilding, which was established by her mother.

Career

Phoenix appeared in two television shows between 1982 and 1986. The two performances were Kate's Secret and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers' episode "Christmas Song," after which she stopped acting.

Rain and Summer Phoenix, Sheryl May's sister, formed The Causey Way, which no longer exists. Nevertheless, she occasionally supported Rain's band the Papercranes with her backup vocals.

She later taught at the Florida School of Traditional Midwifery.

Phoenix created a line of dresses and skirts in 2005 and sold them to Some Odd Rubies, a Manhattan store. In March 2007, she opened her own eco-friendly Indigo Green Store in Gainesville, Florida.
