Alisen Down (born January 3, 1976) is a Canadian film and television actress.

Early life

In Langley, British Columbia, Down was born. She had a keen interest in acting early on, and in her younger years she wrote and produced her own plays. Down attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in California and then the British American Dramatic Academy in Oxford, after graduating from H.D. Stafford Secondary School. She is married to actor David Richmond-Peck, whom she met while working on the film Robson Arms.

Down's most well-known appearance in the television series Mysterious Ways, in which she played Miranda, a physics graduate student who, alongside Professor Declan Dunn (often the investigator behind the probes), and psychiatrist Dr. Pewler (the other skeptic besides Miranda) are trying to solve a variety of odd or paranormal events.
