Lee Otway (born 4 January 1982) is an English actor best known for his appearances as David "Bombhead" Burke in the British television drama 'The Syndicate' and 'Ben West' in the BBC drama 'The Syndicate.'

Otway had appeared in 'Heartbeat' on ITV. Otway appeared in Kay Mellor's 'The Syndicate' in 2013 (BBC One). Otway appeared in "Doctors," a BBC daytime drama. Otway holds a master's degree in Film Production and was given a Royal Television Society award for his role in directing his master's film.

Acting career

In 2001, Otway appeared in the cast of the Chester-based soap Hollyoaks. Bombhead, his eccentric character, had worked in various professions, including a magician, a chef, and a priest.

He was nominated for the 'Best Actor' award at the National Television Awards in 2004, as well as being nominated for a number of respected categories, including 'Best Actor' and 'Best Dramatic Performance' at the 2005 British Soap Awards.

Otway appeared in another top-rated British drama, Heartbeat.

In 2010, he made his debut in Breathe opposite Ricci Harnett. At the 2010 London Independent Film Awards, 'Breathe' was named 'Best Director.'

In 2010 Lee resurfaced his role as 'Bombhead' in the Hollyoaks spinoff, Hollyoaks: Freshers. This prompted to his return to the show and his appearance in 2012.

In Kay Mellor's The Syndicate, Otway appeared as 'Ben West' in 2014.

In 2019, he appeared as Ethan Ibbertson, the guest lead in a Doctors episode (BBC).
