Kyle Walker Career

Club career

After being recommended by coach Paul Archer at Football Unites, Racism Divides, and progressed through the ranks to become a regular fixture in the reserves by 2008, Walker joined boyhood club Sheffield United at the age of seven. He was allowed to join Northampton Town on a one-month loan to gain first-team experience, making his debut against Oldham Athletic on November 15, 2008. His one-month loan was later extended into January before he returned to Bramall Lane after playing nine games for the Cobblers.

Walker made his full debut for Sheffield United on January 13, 2009, in a third round FA Cup tie against Leyton Orient, just after returning to his parent club. Walker was a surprise call-up in the team's crucial last two games of the season against Swansea City on April 25, 2009. He stayed where he was placed in the play-offs after two outstanding performances, starting both matches against Preston North End and the final against Burnley at the end of May 2009. Walker became the youngest Sheffield United player to play at Wembley Stadium after being in the final.

Walker and colleague Kyle Naughton left Sheffield United on July 22, 2009, for a total fee of £9 million, but the 2009–10 season was loaned back to United. While at Bramall Lane, he was virtually every-present at right-back for the first half of the season, but he was eventually called back to Spurs on February 1, 2010, just days before the start of the January 2010 transfer window was closed. In a 2–0 victory over Portsmouth on Saturday, Walker made his Manchester debut on Saturday and went on to win their first game of the season.

Walker went out on loan for the first time in the right-back season at the start of the season (QPR). His loan was extended until 31 January 2011.

Walker came to Aston Villa on loan until the 2010-11 season, after he had left QPR. In the third round of the FA Cup, he scored on his debut only nine minutes into the match against former Sheffield United. Walker's first Premier League goal and first senior league goal came from a 30-yard kick against Fulham in the left corner at the start of February. After scoring two goals in 18 appearances for Aston Villa in all competitions, he returned to his parent club at the 2010-11 season.

Walker said he would be able to return to the club next season, but Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp had already stated that he did not want to sell the player. Walker subsequently agreed to a contract extension at Tottenham Hotspur until 2016. Walker was selected in the starting eleven for Tottenham's first match of the 2011–12 season against Manchester United at Old Trafford on August 22. He scored the winning goal in the North London derby against Arsenal from 25 yards out on October 2nd. Tottenham won the match 2–1.

Walker was named PFA Young Player of the Year on April 22, 2012, defeating Sergio Agüero, Danny Welbeck, Daniel Sturridge, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and teammate Gareth Bale as the PFA Young Player of the Year. He had a free kick from 25 yards on the 29th of April to help Tottenham defeat Blackburn Rovers 2–0 at White Hart Lane. Walker was granted a new five-year deal on May 3rd, 2012, which lasted until 2017.

In a 3–1 loss, Walker's appearance against Manchester United in March 2012 had him to blame for two of the opposition's goals. He started his second season in Chelsea's 4th goal in the 4-2 loss at White Hart Lane, but Juan Mata was able to break it off the ball quickly. He was never-present in the Premier League's first half of the season, with the exception of the 3–0 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage; this was Tottenham's first victory in 23 years over Manchester United; and his first appearance in the 3–2 victory over Manchester United.

Walker had signed a new deal with Tottenham Hotspur, keeping him at the club until 2019.

Walker was part of the squad that lost 2–0 to Chelsea at Wembley Stadium in the 2015 League Cup Final on March 1st.

Walker was involved in an own goal on August 8, 2015, resulting in Tottenham losing a game in the hands of Manchester United in the season opener, and it became the first goal of the new season.

Walker was named right-back in the PFA Team of the Year for the second time on April 20th.

Walker agreed to a five-year deal with Tottenham's Premier League rivals Manchester City in a transfer that has since increased to £50 million with add-ons, making it one of the most expensive football transfers ever.

On August 12, 2017, he made his competitive debut against Brighton, a game in which many media outlets have rated him as the best player. However, Walker was suspended for two yellow card offences against Everton on his homecoming, which was supposed to be a harsh call by referee Bobby Madley. Walker was selected and part of the squad that beat Arsenal 3–0 at Wembley Stadium in the 2018 EFL Cup Final to win his first trophy of the 2017-18 season.

In June 2019, Walker signed a new deal with the club.

Walker volunteered to play in goal for the last ten minutes after replacement goalkeeper Claudio Bravo was dismissed; he did not back down when the game ended 1–1.

The club launched a discipline against Walker after it was discovered that he had breached national lockdown legislation and welcomed two sex employees to his house during the global coronavirus pandemic. It was also revealed on May 7th, 2020, that he had broken lockdown laws by heading to Sheffield to give a gift to his sister and hugging her. Later, he admitted that he had also visited his parents to pick up food. Manchester City said they would not discipline him for this activity, citing the trips being motivated by personal reasons. He later tweeted that he and his family were being harassed and that the reports were impacting his entire family's mental stability.

International career

Walker was called up to the England U19s in February 2009 before making even an appearance for Sheffield United in the league. In a 3–0 loss to Spain's U19s, he made his debut on February 10th and appeared as a second-half substitute. Walker was called up to the full England squad in February 2011 and again in March 2011. However, he did not appear in any of the games, and he was forced to withdraw from the squad in March due to a injury.

Walker was selected as part of the England squad that participated in the 2011 UEFA European Under-21 Championships in Denmark at the end of the 2010–11 season. Despite the team's poor showing in the first round, Walker was named in the Tournament's Team.

In the 1–0 victory over Spain in the 2011–12 season, he made his senior England debut in the 1–0 victory over Mexico, leaving Scott Parker as a replacement in the 85th minute. In a 1–0 victory over Sweden on November 15, he got off to a good start, after which he was the man-of-the-match. He missed the 2012 European Championships due to a toe injury sustained in a league match against Fulham.

After winning by 2–1 over Italy in Euro 2012, Walker played the first England match since being out of Euro 2012.

He was selected in the 2018 World Cup's 23-man national team squad. Gareth Southgate, England's manager, deployed Walker as a center-back in a back-three.

England defeated the Netherlands national team in June 2019 in the semi-final stage of the 2019 UEFA Nations League, with Stephen scoring his own goal against them. He was not selected for England's squad for the European Championship qualifiers at the start of the 2019-20 season. He was sent home in a 1–0 Nations League victory over Iceland on September 5, becoming the first Englishman to be issued an international red card since Raheem Sterling was debuted in June 2014.

On June 20, 2021, the first day of the 2021 revolution. Walker was selected in the 26-man squad for the rescheduled UEFA Euro 2020. As England advanced to their first final in a major tournament since 1966, his exploits during the tournament earned him a spot in the UEFA Euro 2020 Team of the Tournament.

www.dailymail.co.uk, October 10, 2022
JACK GAUGHAN IN COPENHAGEN: City is in Copenhagen tomorrow, celebrating a win over Erling Haaland and knowing that qualifying will advance to the Champions League knockout stages with two games remaining in their group. Kyle Walker has undergone groin surgery, and John Stones is suffering from a hamstring injury, while Guardiola said he has a bigger problem with his defenders' constant aches and pains.

Manchester City are thriving as Erling Haaland continues to create hysteria

www.dailymail.co.uk, October 10, 2022
If Erling Haaland's game-changing abilities aren't maddening enough, it turns out he has gravitational pull as well. And if there are too many people drawn to him, it is obvious - one of the few in Manchester City blue will see you off instead. Southampton actually handled Haaland well on Saturday, with the two center backs and goalkeeper leaving with a positive attitude. However, this was the first evidence to show that giving the big guy all the attention can be counterproductive.

The England World Cup is an international sporting event that takes place in India. Tomori, Kane, and Mount are all good, but Alexander-Arnold is on the decline

www.dailymail.co.uk, October 9, 2022
With the World Cup less than two months away, players will be keen to put in solid performances for their clubs to solidify their place in Gareth Southgate's plans. Fikayo Tomori continued to impress during AC Milan's 2-0 victory over Juventus, in which he scored, although defenders Trent Alexander-Arnold and Kyle Walker had a rough time, with the Liverpool man being torn apart by Gabriel Martinelli and Walker's needing to have surgery on his groin.
