Bill K. Kapri (born Dieuson Octave, 1997), better known by his stage name Kodak Black, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter.
He is known for his singles "Zeze," "Roll in Peace," "Tunnel Vision," and "No Flockin," as well as his numerous court problems.
Early life
On June 11, 1997, Kodak Black, the son of Haitian immigrant Marcelene Octave, was born in Pompano Beach, Florida. Bill Kahan Kapri later changed his name to Bill Kahan Kapri. Kodak Black was raised by his mother in Golden Acres, a public housing project in Pompano Beach.
After school to record music, Kodak Black started rapping in elementary school and then moved to a local trap house. To improve his vocabulary, he spent his youth reading thesauruses and dictionaries. Kodak Black was often involved in brawls, breaking, and enthralling with his colleagues. He was banned from school in the fifth grade for fighting and was jailed for auto theft while in middle school. Personal life
In 2014, Kodak Black announced that he was studying for his high school diploma at Blanche Ely High School in Pompano Beach.
After a priest who runs a Hebrew Hebrew synagogue studied scripture with Kodak Black during his incarceration, he began to identify as a Hebrew Israelite. He later applied to change his name to Bill Kahan Blanco, with Kahan allegedly referring to priests who descend from Moses, the prophet Aaron. He officially changed his name from "Dieuson Octave" to "Bill Kahan Kapri" on May 2, 2018.
Although in jail, Kodak Black earned his GED in June 2018.
With a fresh hairstyle and a slimmer figure, Kodak returned to social media on February 6, 2021. On the same day, he and his partner, Bradford Cohen, revealed on Twitter that Kodak would pay the tuition fees for the two children of late FBI agent Laura Schwartzenberger and the son of late FBI agent Daniel Alfin, both of whom died on duty.

Career
Kodak Black, a young black musician from the United States, formed Brutal Youngnz in 2009, performing under the stage name J-Black. He then joined The Kolyons, a local rap group. In December 2013, Kodak Black released his first mixtape, Project Baby, in December 2014, and the mixtape Institution in December 2015.

He appeared on French Montana's single "Lockjaw" from French Montana's 21st mixtape MC4, a top position of 23 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip Songs chart in May 2016.
