In August 2012, Harris premiered "Gold Digger" on her official YouTube channel. She was just 15 at the time of its unveiling — the original video had since been deleted. She has continued to produce original music, as well as freestyles utilizing beats from other artists on her YouTube channel, where she has amassed over 812,000 subscribers.

Cupcakke unveiled the single "Lemon Pepper" on June 1, 2020, with half of the funds going to the Minnesota Bail fund. On June 26, "Discounts," a new single, was released.
