Julia Winter Life

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is Tim Burton's 2005 musical fantasy film written by John August and based on Roald Dahl's 1964 British book of the same name.

Charlie Bucket stars Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Noah Taylor, Missi Pyle, Deep Roy, and Christopher Lee.

Charlie is a child in the contest who wins a contest with four other children and is led by Wonka on a tour of his chocolate factory. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (also known as Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory in 1971) began in 1991, resulting in Warner Bros.

The Dahl estate is now under absolute artistic direction.

Before Burton's appearance, producers Gary Ross, Rob Minkoff, Martin Scorsese, and Tom Shadyac had been involved, while actors Bill Murray, Nicolas Cage, Jim Cary, Will Smith, Adam Sandler, and many others were either in discussion with or considered by the studio to play Wonka. Depp and Danny Elfman were hired right away by Burton's regular collaborators.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is the first time since Elfman contributed to a film score utilizing written songs and his vocals.

Filming at Pinewood Studios in the United Kingdom ran from June to December 2004.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory were unveiled in a warm critical reception, and the box office was a hit, grossing $475 million worldwide.
