Early life
"My mother, a school teacher, has always encouraged me and my sisters to create and express ourselves creatively," says Anastasopoulos. Career
Anastasopoulos appeared in stage performances at the University of Cape Town. She appeared in The Blue Room, a theatre performance directed by Jacqui Singer and written by David Hare at the Arena Theatre in 2004, and it was her fourth appearance at the Arena Theatre in 2004. She appeared Ophelia in a Hamlet theatre performance directed by Roy Sargaent in the Artscape Theatre two years ago, in 2006.
Anastasopoulos created a Peg Light in 2008 and received an award from Eskom's Energy Efficient Lighting Design Competition under Category B: Residential luminaire design for professionals. Anastasopolous designs sets for theatre performances, and she created Magnet Theatre's Every Year, Every Day, I Am Walking production in 2008.
Anastasopoulos appeared in Interrupting Henry, a play directed by Matthew Wild at The Artscape Arena, in 2010. Elsa Brown, an Afrikaans teacher, appeared in The Interrupting Henry, in 2010. Anastasopoulos creates illustrations using a variety of media platforms. Murals, children's books, shopping bags, and even a magazine's editorial cover. Her illustrations were featured on her company's website. She was hired to create a mural for display in the Children's Book Gallery in Cape Town's Book Lounge. It depicts a cityscape that was drawn on the wall and then painted with acrylic paints. Emily Child, Jeff and George, and the Totem Pole illustrated a children's book.
She appeared in the development of Master Harold's... and the Boys directed by Kim Kerfoot in March 2013. In 2013, she made illustrations for TREE/BOOM/UMTHI, a 30-minute story told in the Magnet Theatre for children aged 3 to 7. She created the scene for Vigil, written by Canadian playwright Morris Panych, during the Grahamstown National Arts Festival in 2013.
Anastasopoulos launched her SuzelleDIY YouTube channel in May 2014 with a "bite-size, do-it-yourself" web series. She and animation and filmmaker Ari Kruger play an Afrikaans woman. From Channel24, she received an award for South Africa's Best Online Celebrities. Suzelle worked with Takealot, an online store, and produced four videos for the Takeaway brand.
