Jonny Quinn Life

Jonathan Graham Quinn (born 26 February 1972) is a Northern Irish drummer who was born in Bangor.

He is best known as the drummer for alternative rock band Snow Patrol, and he has appeared in bands including The Mighty Fall, The New Brontes, and Disraeli Gears.

He has been playing on all of the snow Patrols.

Mariane Quinn, a British industrial designer, is married to him (née Rkke).

Personal life

He is the nephew of actress Patricia Quinn and Bradley Quinn, the Snow Patrol's long-serving photographer. Debbie Armstrong, the wife of former Northern Ireland national football team assistant manager Gerry Armstrong, is his cousin. Quinn had a habit of going on stage, resulting in several fractured limbs. Since the band joined Fiction/Interscope, he was asked not to worry lest he break his arm.

At Ward Park in 2007, he proposed to his longtime girlfriend, industrial designer Mariane Rkke. On his drum kit, he wrote "Marry me Mariane," which was seen on the stands beside the stage. On August 16, 2008, they married in Mariane's hometown Oslo. Bradley Quinn, Jonny's brother, was the best man. Guests included the band, former Snow Patrol collaborator and bandmate Iain Archer, as well as singer Declan O'Rourke. For their honeymoon, the couple travelled to Zanzibar. He and his wife and son, who are near bandmate Nathan Connolly, live in Crouch End, London.
