During their show at the Boston Calling Music Festival this past week, rock gods Foo Fighters took time out to honor their late drummer Taylor Hawkins. Not only did they commemorate him with a performance of Cold Day In The Sun, a song Taylor Hawkins performed before his death in March 2022, but they also brought his 17-year-old son, Shane, to play drums on a Foo Fighters tribute. The crowd went wild after being announced. Particularly when the large monitors showed the teen behind the drums getting ready to rock. Frontman Dave Grohl walked towards Shane and shared a few words before he chuckled and walked toward the microphone at center stage. Grohl, 54, confessed with his guitar strapped over his shoulder and ready to break out into the next song on the setlist: 'He just told me, hey, say something, I've got to fix the snare [drum].'
