John Keeble Life

John Leslie Keeble (born 6 July 1959) is an English pop and rock drummer.

He is best known for his appearance in the 1980s New Wave band Spandau Ballet.

Early years

As an infant, Keeble was an athlete who played both football and cricket. At the age of 16, he bought his first drum kit and started pursuing an interest in music in a Dame Alice Owen's School band called The Cut with Gary Kemp, Tony Hadley, and Steve Norman in 1976. Martin, Kemp's brother, was recruited on bass shortly, completing the line-up. The band later became known as The Makers, The Gentry, and then Spandau Ballet.

Personal life

When Keeble first met at Live Aid, they became friends with Fish. In 1988, Keeble married Leaflyn, but Fish gave her away at the wedding. Jaime Rae Keeble, the couple's daughter, was born in 1990.

Tony Hadley has shared the touching - and surprising - explanation for why he has never taken any drugs. The Spandau Ballet legend, who died at the age of 63, was the frontman of the 1980s pop group, which also included Gary and Martin Kemp, John Keeble, and Steve Norman. Tony left the company in 1990 before returning in 2009 and then moving to good in 2017.
