I've been re-rating you Mr Bond!British Board of Film Classification says two 007 classics would be given stronger classification if released today due to certain scenes

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 19, 2024
According to the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC), the age rating of two James Bond films would have been raised if they were rereleased today due to the representation of violence and sexual assault. During a public consultation, Goldfinger and From Russia With Love, both starring Sir Sean Connery and which were released in the 1960s, were discussed as films audiences believe should be more conservative. The inquiry, which involved 12,000 people from around the United Kingdom, aided in the development of the new BBFC classification guidelines, which were released on Tuesday.

Cinemagoers are warned that 007's adventures could possibly elude them in an absurd alert from British Film Institute snowflakes

www.dailymail.co.uk, January 4, 2024
The British Film Institute has issued a 'absurd' trigger alert for modern day filmgoers, alerting that 007's films could'cause offence' and enrage modern-day filmgoers. The BFI, which is responsible for promoting and preserving the best of British cinema, has issued a blanket alert about the beloved spy franchise, which last year marks its 70th anniversary. Bond's adventures 'will cause offence today,' say film buffs watching a series of classic films, with big screen hits like Goldfinger and You Only Live Twice including words and themes that were 'prevalent' in the 1960s. A note warning newbie viewers that they will not be taken outside BFI's cinema on London's Southbank (inset). 'Please note that while many of these films feature language, photographs, or other content that is not appropriate in its time, they would still cause offence today (as they did then).' Bond is shown in a scene thrown Pussy Galore (right) to the ground in a barn before pinning her down and shoving her onto her (right). An additional warning about the 1968 release of You Only Live Twice warned that the film contained "outdated racial stereotypes," according to the film, with Bond undergoing cosmetic surgery to look more Japanese (left).
