Jeff Cohen Career

Entertainment career

On the 1982–83 CBS game show Child's Play, Cohen was one of the contestants describing words to the contestants. He made a name for himself on Body Language in 1985. Ask Max, a boy who appeared in a Disney TV movie in 1986, was also in a Disney television show. Eydie Faye, Cohen's sister, is a playwright and actress. Faye has a cameo as Chunk's sister in the final scene of The Goonies.

In the Goonies DVD commentary track, Cohen said that every role he played as a child had him wearing either a Hawaiian shirt or a pair of plaid pants, and that director Richard Donner had the brilliant idea to put him in both for The Goonies. Cohen contracted chickenpox before the Goonies started filming. He was afraid that they would re-cast the role, but he told no one of his ailments and turned up anyway. The chickenpox on Cohen's chest can be seen during the famous "Truffle Shuffle" sequence, according to a commentary track on The Goonies DVD.

"I grew up loving The Three Stooges and the Marx Brothers as a child," Cohen said about that time in the ABA Journal story. Following finding out that some of Hollywood's most prominent figures had law degrees, he pursued a career in law. Cohen obtained a J.D. after his time at Berkeley. In 2000, I obtained a degree from the UCLA School of Law, where later I became a Los Angeles entertainment lawyer. He co-founded the Cohen & Gardner Beverly Hills company in 2002. Cohen was profiled in the Dealmakers Impact Report in the September 24, 2008 issue of Variety. In addition, Cohen was included in the "Next Generation: Hollywood's Top 35 Executives 35 and Under" collection in their 2008 November 5 issue.

In 2013, Cohen was included in Variety's Dealmakers Impact Report.

According to the Courier News, the melee began when Titus Bacon, one of Eastside's roster, designed a screen that Cornelius Robinson, a Camden player, objected to.
