Jayde Nicole (born February 19, 1986) is a Canadian model.
In the June issue of the men's magazine, she was Playboy's Playmate of the Month for January 2007 and was named as the 2008 Playmate of the Year.
She is the first Canadian Playmate of the Year in 26 years and her third overall, with Dorothy Stratten and Shannon Tweed as the previous two.
Early life
At the age of six, Nicole began modeling for catalogs and fashion shows. Nicole's family moved from Scarborough to Port Perry the following year. When she turned 11, she stopped modeling for a while because she was finding herself "too young to be doing kid's jobs."
As she was 15, a scout from a Toronto modeling company discovered her outside the Air Canada Centre as she was leaving a concert and offered her the opportunity to return to modeling. Nicole has appeared in numerous publications and fashion shows since then. "A Touch of Class," she created and operates, is based in Port Perry.
Nicole graduated from Port Perry High School and then studied hotel management at George Brown College in Toronto, but she dropped out to pursue a modeling career. Nicole's mother sent her her first issue of Playboy and begged her to pose for the paper.
Personal life
Nicole founded Lengths for Love, a charity similar to Locks of Love, which encourages people to donate their hair in order to be converted into wigs for pediatric patients in need. She has appeared in a lettuce bikini on behalf of PETA, encouraging people to go vegan.
Career
Nicole was named Playmate of the Month in January 2007 and was named the 2008 Playmate of the Year by Playboy.
Nicole appeared in a presidential election spoof video for FunnyorDie.com in October 2008. In addition, Jo Garca, Grace Kim, and Christine Smith appear in "Playmates Heat Up the Presidential Debate." Footage was taken from the presidential town hall debate, which took place on October 7, 2008, and was digitally enhanced to include the women asking Senators Obama and McCain a series of questions.
In the 2009 Italian comedy Un'estate ai Caraibi, Nicole debuted as a leading actress. Nicole appeared on Fox Sports' Million Dollar Challenge in October 2009.
Nicole appeared in the September 2010 issue of Guitar World magazine as one of "The Girls of the 2011 Guitar World Buyer's Guide."
