Jared Michael Rushton (born March 3, 1974) is an American singer and former actor.
He is best known for his appearances in several films from the 1980s, including Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, Big, and Overboard.
He has been nominated for two Saturn Awards and two Young Artist Awards.
He is also known for his appearances on Pet Sematary Two and as Chip on the comedy sitcom Roseanne.

Early life
Rushton was born in Provo, Utah. In a "Barbie and the Rockers" commercial, his first acting gig was as a rocker. Monica Rushton, his mother, helped him with the production of Big. He appeared in the film A Cry in the Wild, which was based on Gary Paulsen's book Hatchet, and appeared briefly on CBS' Northern Exposure as a reluctant father-to-be.
Career
Rushton began his career as Richie in an episode of Tales From the Darkside at age 12. He has appeared in Cagney & Lacey as well as a television film entitled Top Kids. In 1987, Kurt Russell's character's son appeared in the film Overboard as his first major role. He appeared in Lady in White as Donald and as Tom Hanks' companion Billy in Big next year. Rushton, a natural blond, dyed his hair red for the film.
Rushton appeared on an episode of Murder as She Wrote Travis Harmon after the success of Big. On the television sitcom Roseanne, he later appeared as Chip Lang, Becky's boyfriend. I Shrunk the Kids was a Rushton on Honey, after that.
Rushton appeared on an episode of Midnight Caller and filmed A Cry in the Wild as Brian Robeson, a film based on the book Hatchet, after finishing Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.
