Early life
Jahlil Beats was born in Chester, Pennsylvania. He began learning audio engineering principles and instilling a passion for music under his father's (who was in a band) and cousin's direction at the age of 12. Anthony Tucker The Beat Bully taught his brother Anthony Tucker How to Perform Music by the age of fifteen, and the two brothers began making beats together. Musical career
Jahlil Beats returned to his hometown, where he will encounter up-andcoming rapper Meek Mill after dropping out of college in 2008. They began collaborating with each other shortly after meeting. It's at this point that Jahlil claims it was the first time he began seriously into music. He first became well-known after he co-produced several tracks with Haydock Beats for Tyga and Chris Brown's joint mixtape Fan of a Fan, including "Holla at Me." He will then be able to get "Tonight" off Fabolous' EP There Is No Competition 2: The Grieving Music EP.
Meek Mill's breakout hit "Ima Boss" was released by Jahlil Beats in 2011. Complex's production for that song would later be named as the tenth-best instrumental between 2008 and 2013. Following a six-label bidding war, he signed a publishing contract with Jay-Z's Roc Nation, who also controls Meek Mill. He signed it later this year. He collaborated on songs artists like Jay-Z, 50 Cents, Rihanna, J. Cole, Busta Rhymes, Meek Mill, Nelly, Big Sean, T.I., Bow Wow, Willow Smith, and French Montana for their respective forthcoming albums in the ensuing months. Since signing to Roc Nation, he will also begin to closely work under No ID. He was even one of the first people to endorse his involvement on Jay-Z's twelfth studio album. Legend Music, a six-track free EP, was released on July 20, 2012.

Genius, his year's second instrumental mixtape, was supposed to be released on August 1, 2013, but its unveiling was postponed until September 10, 2013. Music critics gave it high marks. Jahlil Beats unveiled Legends Era III on December 25, 2013.
