Before joining Sky in March 2002, she went on to produce a number of shows for the BBC, CNN, and TWI.

The service was mostly focused on Nigerian girls in August 2018, but it is also open to girls from all around Africa.

It's a two-tiered scheme with a base and a specialization phase. After one year in which the girls learn basic skills such as financial literacy, critical thinking, and healthy hygiene, as well as how to boost self-confidence and self-awareness, they can enroll in the Young Leader development program. Many that do not have a place can attend annual empowerment camps and an inspirational speaker series. The attendees are given financial assistance to pay for tuition, uniforms, and other items. More than 600 girls from the ages of 12 to 18 were enrolled in the program in August 2018.

Idris Elba, an actor from January 2017, auctioned a date with him to raise money for W.E. Lead is a good idea. They joined forces again in 2019, when they launched a tombola in which contributors could win a McLaren 720S Coupe.
