White House insists Iran did NOT give heads up on Israel attack and claims the Jewish state is 'not looking for a significant escalation' with Tehran

Israel is not seeking 'significant escalation' with Iran despite concerns of counter strikes, the White House said. After Tehran officials claimed they gave Washington, D.C. a heads up that it would conduct attacks on Israel, a senior administration official said this was not the case. 'I would not characterize it as if Iran gave us the time to prepare,' the official said during a call with reporters on Sunday. 'Their intent was clearly to be highly, highly destructive. And that is in their public rhetoric and I think it's borne out by what they tried to do last night.

Cardinal Timothy Dolan began his weeklong Israel and Palestine visit in Jerusalem on Friday and by Saturday night was in Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus, when Iran's drone armada arrived. 'This Sunday in Bethlehem all does seem calm and bright. And it is for us. We feel safe and secure,' he told his followers in a video on Sunday morning. 'That wasn't true in the middle of last night when the air raid sirens went off, and we had to go down and seek security at Notre Dame Center.'

Top Intelligence Republican says U.S. should NOT involve military with Israel counter attacks yet - but warns Biden if he 'fails to step up to the plate' there will be broader conflict with Iran

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 14, 2024
Rep. Mike Turner (R-Ohio) agrees the U.S. should not yet get involved in conflict with Iran after it launched hundreds of missiles toward Israel since Saturday. The Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, however, warned President Joe Biden against waiting too long to 'step up to the plate' in the region because it could lead to larger conflict. He told NBC News host Kristen Welker on Sunday that the Biden administration needs to make it more clear to Iran that there will be grave consequences from the U.S. if they do continue to launch attacks against Israel.
