(born 31 July 1981) is a Maltese singer and songwriter.
She made her career debut in 2002, when she represented Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 with the song "7th Wonder."
Malta's best ever result came second in the competition.
She returned and represented Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the album "Walk on Water," gaining the twelfth position.
Losco has recorded six studio albums in her career, and she is one of the most popular Maltese musicians of all time.
She appeared as a judge on the inaugural season of X Factor Malta in 2018, and in 2019 she will return to serve as judge.
Personal life
Losco and her partner, Sean Gravina, were expecting a child in May 2016. Harry, their son, was born on August 25, 2016. Ira and Sean were married on December 1, 2019. Career
Losco has performed in more than 15 countries and has received more than 20 music awards. Losco began her career with Tiara, a college band, but the two bands broke up a few months after Losco represented her country in the Eurovision Song Contest 2002, which was held in Tallinn. With the album "7th Wonder," she came in second place.
She was selected to perform "Reaching Higher," the official song of the Xth Games of the Small States of Europe Malta 2003. In 2008, Losco was named with the Midalja gyall-Repubblika.
