Officers in Miami-Dade were caught on camera receiving a message from a tearful Highsmith, who says: 'The signal lights weren't on.' He got out of his car but by the time he got out, it was too late.' Alekxei Pino had been assisting another motorist with their disabled Toyota SUV, which had its lights off at the time of the crash, when Highwood struck him in his 2021 Audi A5 model. Highwood, who is clearly distraught, breaks down into tears and bends over with his head in his hands as he continues to describe the events to an officer.

Alekxei Pino filed the lawsuit in Florida on Friday, claiming to be assisting a stranded motorist after Highsmith collided with him in his 2021 Audi A5 on the evening of February 6.
