She is best known for her appearances in the Nickelodeon film The Troop, Erica Reyes in the MTV film Teen Wolf, and Karen in the Amazon Studios series Red Oaks.
Early life
Golightly grew up in Penn Valley, California, the youngest of four children born to a nurse and a plumber. At the age of two, she was diagnosed with dyspraxia and underwent speech therapy. Her parents used sign language to communicate with her for the first years of her life. Golightly also stated that she was clumsy as a child due to poor motor skills. She attended Sacred Heart Academy in Flintridge.
Career
At the age of eight, Golightly decided to become an actress. Her mother took her to Los Angeles, where she found a boss. Golightly began her career in 2002 with her appearances in the 2002 film Speakeasy and the television film The Long Shot. Jesse Neumeyer, an unemployed television pilot, appeared in Five Days to Midnight in 2004 and was in Sudbury, an unmanned television pilot. Vanessa was on the Disney Channel sitcom The Suite Life of Zack & Cody as Vanessa in 2006 before appearing in the TNT series Heartland.
In the Nickelodeon series The Troop, a series about a group of teenagers who fight monsters, Hayley played the main character. She appeared on True Jackson, VP, and Big Time Rush in 2010 and 2011, before returning to Ringer as Tessa, a high school student. Golightly appeared on MTV's Teen Wolf for the second season as Erica Reyes, the show's first living female werewolf. Golightly was supposed to reprise her role in the show's third season, which began filming in late 2012, but she only had a few cameo scenes.
