Early life
In Leipzig, East Germany, Hentschel was born. He and his parents, Jörg and Martina, and his brother Uwe, all arrived in East Germany seven months before the Berlin Wall was demolished. He was raised bilingually, both English and German, and travelled around the world all his life.
Career
Hentschel performed in London as a professional backup dancer for artists including Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, Paulina Rubio, Jamelia, and others. Later, he was hired as a choreographer and appeared on numerous music videos and tours in Canada and Asia.
Falk decided to stay in Los Angeles for good and pursue his ambition of being an actor in 2003. In 2005, he made his acting debut on the Emmy Award-winning program Arrested Development. Small parts of Journeyman and several low-budget films were followed.
Hentschel created his own portfolio and wrote the short film Who is Bobby Domino, where he met production partner Jesse Grace. The two of them went on to write and produce more short films, some of which were exhibited at some of the world's most coveted film festivals and received numerous awards.
In 2009, Hentschel performed as a go-goog dancer in the work "Untitled (Go-Go Dancing Platform), by artist Felix Gonzalez-Torres at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles.
Falk's first big-budget film role as Bernhard the assassination, co-starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz in Knight and Day in 2009. Falk appeared in TNT's The Closer, starring Kyra Sedgwick, the following year.
In the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation episode "Targets of Obsession," Hentschel appeared opposite singer Justin Bieber. In addition, he appeared in the NCIS: Los Angeles episode "Archangel."
