Career

In 2000, Arifin was tagged along with his sister in a television commercial shooting and was asked to be an extra, which he accepted on this occasion. He was a finalist in a cover boy competition run by a well-known Indonesian teen magazine last year. In 2003, Arifin was also competing for MTV Indonesia's VJ Hunt. Despite being unsuccessful in that particular competition, one thing led to another for Arifin, and he began his acting career.

On the national television show Kisah di Sekolah, the nerdy high school student was able to land his first major television role. (lit. A tale about High School Love (1998) In 2004, Arifin was born in fame. Weekends were devoted to promoting the series in various areas of the country, and he soon became a well-known celebrity. He has described this first exposure to fame as "surreal and flattering, but it was also very strange." Arifin enrolled at a well-known local acting school, Sakti Aktor Studio, to receive formal instruction, knowing that he would pursue this as a career. For one-and-a-half years, he endured a rigorous schedule of education, shooting, and finening his acting abilities.

Lost in Love (2008), Arifin's first film, a sequel to the teen romance film Eiffel I'm in Love (2003).
