Eduardo Gómez Manzano (27 July 1951 – 28 July 2019,) was a Spanish actor who was born in Madrid, Spain.

Private life and death

From a previous marriage, Gómez had one son, Héctor. He was a fan of Atlético de Madrid.

He died on July 28, 2019 from laryngeal cancer, a day after his 68th birthday. Alberto, Laura Caballero, Nacho Guerreros, Cristina Casta, Vanesa Romero, Nathalie Sese, Laura Pamplona, Melani Olivares, and Fernando Ramallo all assisted with the funeral. He was cremated in La Almudena.

Early life and career

Gómez began to behaving late in life. He was accompanying a friend to a shooting in his early teens. He was refused by the production team to speak just a few words to the camera. Andrés Pajares, a comedian and actor, was on the set and asked him if he acted. Gómez said he was not an actor, but if he paid him, he would act. "I went the next day and he paid me and to this day," Gómez said about the experience. [...] What has happened to me hasn't happened to many people. "I'm very happy."

He went on to appear in small parts of Spanish television and cinema, including parts in the Goya Award-winning films La comunidad and La lengua de las mariposas. El Protector, a sequel to Santiago Segura's Torrente series, appeared later. He also appeared in the film version of the legendary Spanish comic strip Mortadelo y Filemón.

In Emilio's father's hit Spanish comedy Aqu no hay quien viva, he was cast in the role. Gómez, who played a small, recurring role in the first series, joined the regular cast after the first series's success, and his role as Mariano is now well-known in Spain, where he received Best Actor on Unión de Actores y Actrices. He competed in Maximo from 2007 to 2013.

In 2013, he parodied Capitán Alatriste in a Spanish Film alongside Alexandra Jiménez, Carlos Areces, Joaqun Reyes, and Michelle Jenner. In February 2015, he was cast as Juanito in the Cuatro TV series Gym Tony, alongside Carmen Ruiz and Pepa Rus.

He appeared in the television show Trabajo temporal humourously.
