Edgar Nicaise Constant Salli, born 17 August 1992, also known as Edgar Salli, is a Cameroonian footballer who currently plays for Sepsi OSK Sfântu Gheorghe and the Cameroon national team.

Club career

Salli began his career with central Cameroon side Ngaoundéré FC and made his senior debut in Elite Two in 2008. At the end of the season, Ngaoundéré was relegated, and Salli joined Elite One Sport Coton Sport ahead of the 2009–10 season. Salli's first campaign with the club was fruitful, as Coton Sport were named champions of Cameroon for the tenth time, and he joined the Cameroon under 20 team. During the next season, he continued to appear regularly for the club, and his 2011 African Youth Championship appearances earned him several offers from Europe. Salli was linked to a transfer to Moroka Swallows in May 2011, but no one replied, but no move was made.

He was transferred to Monaco in July 2011 for an undisclosed fee having completed the Elite One championship with Coton Sport. He had relegated to Ligue 2 at the end of the 2010–11 season after signing a three-year deal with the club. Salli scored his first goal for the club in a one-all draw with Amiens on August 1st, and scored his first goal for the club three weeks later. Salli scored his fifth goal of the season in league and cup play on March 2nd, 2012, beating Sedan 2–2 in 2–2 draw. In 31 appearances, he had five goals on the season. Salli played for the reserves in the Championnat de France amateur for the following season, making one appearance for the first team as the club regained promotion back to Ligue 1 as champions.

Salli joined RC Lens on a season-long loan from Monaco on July 23, 2013.

He was loaned again on August 22, this time to Académica.

Salli was loaned out in the Swiss Super League to St. Gallen for the 2015–16 season.

International career

Salli represented his country at youth international level prior to earning his first cap for the Cameroon national team. He made his under-20 debut in 2009 and spent regular intervals over the next two years. He competed in the 2010 CEMAC Cup and was named Player of the Tournament at the 2011 African Youth Championship. Both teams came in runners' places, with Cameroon finishing runners-up. Salli made his senior debut for Cameroon in a 1–1 draw with Equatorial Guinea on October 11, 2011. In November, he played in the 2011 LG Cup, an exhibition tournament hosted in Morocco, which Cameroon won. On June 7, 2014, he scored his first goal for Cameroon against Moldova. Salli was the winner of an AFCON qualification over Mauritania in June 2016.
