Club career
Born in London and raised in Lewisham, Nketiah began his career with Chelsea after being rejected at the age of nine while playing for the south-east London Sunday team Hillyfielders. In 2015, Chelsea announced him.
He then joined Arsenal Academy and played for the club at youth level. During the 2016–17 season, Nketiah scored 15 goals in 16 appearances for the under-18s, while also scoring 12 goals in 26 appearances for the under-23 team. After that season, Nketiah was called up by Arsène Wenger for the senior team's pre-season trip to Australia and China. In what would be his last game for Leeds at West Bromwich Albion in a 1–1 draw, Nketiah also began the next game on New Year's Day 2020. Both England and Ghana national teams are eligible for the Nketiah National Team and Ghana's national team at international level. On March 22, 2017, Nketiah played his international debut for England at the U18 level, taking on Saudi Arabia U19 in a match against Saudi Arabia U19. In the 58th minute, England defeated 2–0, and he scored their second goal in the 58th minute. England defeated 4–0 in their next match, against Qatar U19. Nketiah scored a hat-trick. In a qualifier for the 2018 UEFA European Under-19 Championship against the Faroe Islands, Nketiah scored four goals for the England under 19 team in November 2017.
