Dean Martin Gaffney (born 14 February 1978) is an English actor best known for his appearances on the BBC soap opera EastEnders from 1993 to 2005; he also appeared in 2004 and 2015.

Early life
Gaffney was born in Hammersmith, London. He attended St Mark's Catholic School in Hounslow and later studied at the Sylvia Young Theatre School in Marylebone and the Corona Theatre School in Kew Bridge.

In January 2013, Gaffney sustained serious head injury when a car he was driving collided with the central reservation on the A38 in Derby. Career
Robbie Jackson's first appearance in EastEnders aired in December 1993, and he remained in the role for 11 years. Executive producer Louise Berridge and actress Bindya Solanki, who played his on-screen girlfriend Nita Mistry, decided to axe Gaffney and his co-stars. "We do think the characters have come to an end on their natural course in the series," Berridge said in a press release, and the characters will both be gone in Spring 2003." Gaffney made a second appearance on the soap in 2004, following his brief stay in Atlanta for his on-screen half-sister Sonia Jackson's wedding (portrayed by Natalie Cassidy).
On October 25, 2009, it was announced that Gaffney would briefly reprise his role as Jackson. In June 2015, it was announced that Gaffney would briefly reprise his role as a co-star in Coulson's departure from the show. It was announced on April 17, 2017 that he would return to the soap full time. In 2019, Gaffney was left out of the soapbox due to rumors about his conduct off-set.
