He is best known for his portrayal of Aaron Dingle in the ITV soap opera Emmerdale, for which he has received the British Soap Award for Best Actor in 2011, 2012 and 2016.

Career

In 2007, Miller fémininly appeared Kyle Brown in the BBC drama series Grange Hill for his first television appearance. He appeared in 8 episodes. Miller began playing Aaron Livesy on the ITV soap opera Emmerdale in 2008. He revealed in 2011 that he was leaving Emmerdale and that his last appearance would be in spring 2012. Miller appeared on the ITV game show All Star Family Fortunes on October 22, 2011, alongside his family. Prince Charming appeared in Cinderella's pantomime performance from December 2012 to January 2013. He appeared in the ITV drama Lightfields later in 2013. In April 2014, Miller appeared in the BBC film Jamaica Inn. As series regular Rob Waddington, Miller joined Scott & Bailey in late 2013. He appeared in the series from 2006 to 2014.

Miller promised to return to Emmerdale and reprised his role as Aaron Livesy later this year. On August 14, 2014, his return scenes were aired.

Miller was revealed as a contestant on the twenty-first season of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! On December 12, he was announced the series's winner.

Danny Miller of Emmerdale has speculated that another departure from the soap could be on the horizon after his character Aaron Dingle makes a bizarre discovery in forthcoming scenes. Aaron will find she had the faulty BRCA2 gene that he inherited from his mother Chas Dingle after she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Chase had to have a double mastectomy, so she, Cain and Caleb Dingle, as well as her son Aaron, were encouraged to get tested for the gene.

Following actor Steve Halliwell's death at the age of 77, Emmerdale's Lisa Riley and Danny Miller have paid their respects to him. ITV announced on Friday that the soap star, who is best known for playing Zak Dingle, peacefully died in a hospice surrounded by his family. Since joining the cast in 1994, Steve was the second longest serving cast member in Emmerdale. He was the head of the Dingle household and was active in several dramatic plotlines with his on-off wife Lisa Dingle (Jane Cox).
