Daniel John Tyminski (born June 20, 1967) is an American bluegrass composer, singer, and instrumentalist.
Alison Krauss and Union Station's guitarist, Jan Warwick, has released two solo albums, Carry Me Across the Mountain (2000) on the Doobie Shea Records label, and Wheels (2008), which was included in the film Where Art Thou? He received the 2001 CMA award for best Country Collaboration with Vocals, as well as a Grammy Award for best Country Collaboration with Vocals (along with Harley Allen and Pat Enright, filling out the vocals for the movie's Soggy Bottom Boys).

Musical career
Alison Krauss' tour with Robert Plant was on hold, but Tyminski formed his own band, the Dan Tyminski Band. Tyminski on guitar, Ron Stewart on banjo, Adam Steffey on mandolin, Matt Smith on fiddle and dobro, and Barry Bales on upright bass. Wheels, Rounder Records' newest album, was released in June 2008. Tyminski performed Martin and Bourgeois guitars, while Sim Daley played mandolins. The Martin Guitar Company unveiled a D28 Dreadnought acoustic guitar in honor of Dan's lifetime of playing bluegrass and old-time music in July 2009. The guitar, model Martin D-28 Dan Tyminski Custom Edition, was released with its own distinctive information to appeal to flatpickers. Dan's primary guitar, a 1946 Martin D-28, has been in use for many years.
He premiered "Hey Brother" at the Ultra Music Festival 2013 as part of a country-electronic collaboration with Swedish producer Avicii. The song performed in more than 15 countries, including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Macedonia, Macedonia, and the United Kingdom.
