Early life and education
Hernández was born in Puerto Rico as the oldest child of Maria Hernandez's. He has a degree in clinical psychology and has worked in the mental health field for six years before launching drag. Hernández started doing drag in Puerto Rico in 2006 and then moved to Killeen, Texas, where he first appeared at Oil Can Harry's. In 2011, he moved to Austin and continued to perform.
Personal life and recognition
Fontaine was diagnosed with stage 1 liver cancer in 2015, just two weeks after filming the third episode of the eighth season of Drag Race. During the recording of the program, he admitted to losing 47 pounds. He went into remission after four rounds of chemotherapy.
