Cory Brandan Putman, known as Cory Brandan, is an American singer who has been the lead vocalist for the metalcore band Norma Jean since 2004.
Personal life
Brandan has three brothers, one older, two younger: Tristen, Matt, and Adam Putman. He is the father of two children, and is married to artist and photographer Rachel Rodemann.
Career
Brandan, a former member of Eso-Charis, Life Sacrifice, The Handshake Murders, and Uses Fire, as well as a current member of the band Norma Jean, Fear is the Driving Force and The Radio Sky, is a broadcaster from Eleven. He was one of the founding members of Mathcore band Eso-Charis, as well as his brother Matthew Putman and Arthur Green, who later joined the band Living Sacrifice. He played guitar for a tour through Norway and Sweden with Living Sacrifice before being recalled by Rocky Gray (who will play drums in Evanescence and guitar in Soul Embraced).
Brandan then toured with and later joined Norma Jean as their lead vocalist, replacing Josh Scogin, who later joined Norma Jean as their lead vocalist. Since Brandan has joined Norma Jean, they have released seven songs; Redeemer's 2005, The Child, which was released on August 5, 2008; and Wrongdoers, which was released on August 12, 2010. Polar Similarity was published in September 9, 2016, and All Hail was published on October 25, 2019. The Anti Mother included guest writing and singing by notable artists Chino Moreno of the Deftones, Page Hamilton of Helmet, and Cove Reber of Saosin.
Brandan initiated the project "Hundred Suns" in 2015 with former Every Time I Die guitarist Ryan "Legs" Leger and Death, and Divine's Chris LeMasters.
