Chris Kroeze (born January 28, 1991) is an American singer.

He is the runner-up of season 15 of the American talent competition The Voice at the age of 27.

Early life

Chris was born and raised in Barron, Wisconsin. He learned to play the guitar when he was six years old after his parents bought him a guitar. He began singing in middle school when he was 13 years old and began performing in local bars while in high school as part of a local band. At a Minneapolis college, he studied audio production and engineering. He then moved to Nashville, where he performed a song at Dierks Bentley's studio. He later returned to Wisconsin. He has served in the Middle East for the troops regularly.

Personal life

Kroeze and Mara are married, and they have two children.

Career

Chris Kroeze is the presenter of The Voice's 15th season. He sang "Pride and Joy" by Stevie Ray Vaughan in his blind audition. Jennifer Hudson and Blake Shelton joined Team Blake, and he accepted. He was paired with folk rock singer Mercedes Ferreira-Dias, where they performed Waylon Jennings and Steve Windwood's "Back in the high life again" and Shelton advanced Kroeze. He was paired with blues rock singer Michael Lee in the knockout rounds, and although Lee was crowned the champion, Shelton advanced Kroeze as well. On December 18, 2018, he made it to the final and finished second in the tournament.
