Chris Farren (born April 29, 1986) is an American musician known for his work in the bands Fake Problems and Antarctigo Vespucci, as well as his solo work.

Career

Farren formed Fake Problems, an indie rock band formed in Naples in 2005. Following guitarist Casey Lee's departure from the band in 2012, the band would release three studio albums and several EPs before officially breaking up in 2014.

Farren began selling a The Smiths parody t-shirt with a photograph of actor Will Smith, actress Jada Pinkett Smith, and their two children Jaden and Willow. Following Jimmy Fallon's appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, in which Fallon gave Farren's shirt to Will Smith, the shirt became very popular online.

Farren will debut Soulmate Stuff as the band Antarctigo Vespucci following Fake Problems' dissolution. Antarctigo Vespucci has had two full-length albums and two EPs since 2014.

In 2014, Farren released Like A Gift From God Or Whatever, an all-original Christmas song with tracks starring Sean Bonnette, Laura Stevenson, and Mae Whitman.

Farren's debut solo album, Can't Die, was released by SideOneDummy Records in 2016.

Farren will write music for two episodes of the Cartoon Network cartoon, Craig of the Creek with the show's producer and Farren's frequent collaborator, Jeff Rosenstock, in 2018 and again in 2020.

Born Hot, his second solo album, was released on October 11, 2019 on Polyvinyl Records. Farren's first headline tour as a solo artist was announced in 2019. With a sold-out show in Los Angeles, the tour began in January 2020 and ended in February 2020.
