Michale Graves Career

Life and career

When Graves' engineer, Bob Alecca, announced that the Misfits were revamping and casting auditions for a new artist, he was recording a demo with his band Lodi, New Jersey. Graves purchased the Collection I and Walk Among Us albums to familiarize himself with the band and became a official member about a year after trying out.

Graves said in September 2008 that if asked, he would return to the Misfits: "Jerry and I do not have a dysfunctional working relationship." Both he and I know that I am on board, and I know he knows that I am on board. It's just a phone call away. I would not step back into what I walked away from, but Jerry and I will not be involved in this situation. Doyle and Chud are the issue."

Graves appeared on stage with Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein and Dr. Chud's band Gorgeous Frankenstein at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey, who was opening for Danzig on December 26, 2009. The band performed four late-1990s-era Misfits songs ("Helena," "Lost in Space," "Scarecrow Man" and "Shining") while on stage, but they were unable to perform "Dig Up Her Bones" due to time.

Graves' singing can be found on American Psychological, Famous Monsters, backup vocals on "Monster Mash" and "Cuts From the Crypt" (1999). "Dig Up Her Bones," "American Psycho," "Scream! were also written for the band. "Saturday Night" "This Island Earth" "Fiend Without a Face," "Shining," "The Haunting"" -- "The Haunting" and "Fiend Club" are among Devil Doll" and "Fiend Club"'s "Saturday Night" "Saturday Night."

Graves and Dr. Chud formed The Lost Boys, a band that formed during a break from touring in 2000. They appeared in two shows before the Misfits regrouped to embark on another tour, the last tour with this lineup. Graves performed on an acoustic guitar and vocals at the first Lost Boys performance, while Dr. Chud performed drums. They performed Misfits songs as well as songs later used for the band Graves, which Graves wrote. Graves on vocals and electric guitar, but this time only on the second show was the same as the first, and "Mister Monster" (Mister Monster) was played on bass. J.V. has a set that will come later this year. Bastard, Mister Monster, Gotham Road, Darrow Chemical Company, and Blitzkid) appeared on stage, joining the band to play guitar as Graves sang. The foursome performed a set of "classic" Misfits songs from the band's 1977–1983 period.

Graves and Dr. Chud's break with the Misfits on October 25, 2000, the band Graves formed Graves, which released one album named Web of Dharma. Graves returned to the Misfits as a guest vocalist for a month during the M25 kickoff tour, but only as a guest vocalist for a month. He'll perform Misfits songs from his time with the band to raise funds for his new project, Graves. The band recorded what was supposed to be new content for a second album in Ripsnorter Studios, which is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, during a two-day break on their Web of Dharma 2 tour. Members of the Minneapolis horror rock band Ripsnorter, who gave the band free studio time, own the recording. The albums were never finished due to disagreements over the songs' mixing, and they were never released. Graves and Dr. Chud's differences caused the dissolution of two tour stops and the emergence of a breakout record deal, and the band's contract was shelved. They stopped releasing one album after two years.

Graves formed Gotham Rd immediately after, with Loki, JV Bastard, and Paul Lifeless. They recorded a five-song demo of redone Graves songs under the assumed name of Graves, three of which were released on Web of Dharma and two other songs that had been published and performed with the original Graves lineup but not officially announced. Graves also revealed on his website that he would begin producing other bands albums on his off time. Stressbomb from Connecticut, who released their first album, Self Medicate, with Graves as producer and engineer Quincy as engineer during January 2006. They decided to change the band's name to Gotham Rd after a few months of rehearsals. Graves may have played in the United States marines on one album before going on hiatus, so they may have joined the U.S. marines. His last show ever was scheduled on December 31, 2004. They were on two tours: 2003's Seasons of the Witch tour and 2004's Mourning Lights tour. The band performed three new songs on tour before their Mourning Lights tour, which had been recorded in a recording studio. Out of the three songs, only one ("My Way") had been mixed. The only way to listen was by requesting it on Seton Hall University's WSOU, Pirate Radio. They will perform one-off shows in New Jersey after returning from the Punk Rock Is Dead, Graves solo tour before going on indefinite hiatus. In March 2005, the now defunct Connections in Clifton, New Jersey, held their second-to-last show to date. The Nightmare Rides Are Back on the web, and they appeared in Belmar, New Jersey, at the Goodwill Fire Hall with Cryptovyrus, Morbid Visions, and Johnny B. Morbid is a form of morbidity. Graves' solo albums, Graves re-recorded, and Gotham Road were among Graves' miscellany, as well as some Graves' Misfits songs. The band contributed some songs to the German compilation CDs Get Acquainted Vol. in 2008 and 2009. Vol. 1 and Vol. 2.

Graves was approached by Horror High Records right before his release as a marine, to perform a solo album. In 2005, he released Punk Rock Is Dead, his first solo album. In only one month, the entire album was written and recorded on drums with a friend and bandmate in Gotham Road, Paul Lifeless. Graves embarked on a tour in support of the album with Loki, JV Bastard, and Matt Johnson after being honouredably discharged due to a back injury.

Graves began a tour in March 2006 in support of Damien Echols and the West Memphis Three. Before the Misfits, Matt Johnson was replaced by Quincy Smash, who had performed bass guitar for one of Graves' bands, The Mopes. Graves' second solo effort titled Return to Earth, which coincides with the 2006 Halloween/Almost Home 2 tour, was announced on Halloween day of 2006.

Graves has released an album titled Illusions with Echols. It was released on October 31, 2007 and it featured 15 songs. The lyrics were written by Echols and Graves, and they include JSin Trioxin and Quincy Smash. Graves' Illusions Live/Viretta Park, a compilation live album and demo EP, a year later, in October 2008. It was recorded on April 24, 2008, at Club Bourbon in New Port Richey, Florida, and on July 8 and 9, 2008, Bucharest, Romania.

Graves began touring as the singer for Marky Ramone's Blitzkrieg, which features the namesake drummer and one of the band's one-time members, although the band now has a rotating lineup. The band performs vintage Ramones songs live, and in 2010 they filmed "When We Were Angels," a Graves song that was not on Illusions. "If and When" was also released by Blitzkrieg in March 2011.

Graves met Mark Allen Stuart, CEO of Hydraulic Entertainment, in March 2012. Stuart and Graves decided to produce their first album, Vagabond, after several meetings discussing prospective projects. Graves first took the album on September 28, 2012, which was eventually released on February 6, 2013. Graves' Vagabond demonstrated a completely different facet of his songwriting, as the album style shifts between folk, rock, and country. Graves and Hydraulic Entertainment's relationship was launched at the beginning of a long-running and fruitful collaboration. The album Vagabond Acoustic was released on August 27, 2013, with eight acoustic songs from Vagabond as a short introduction.

On February 7, 2014, an acoustic album named Supernatural was released, and it features acoustically performed songs of Lost Skeleton Returns.

Graves released Wanderer, a musical sequel to Vagabond that was once more funded by his Kickstarter campaign on June 3, 2014. Following the tradition of Vagabond Acoustic and Supernatural, an acoustic version of the record Wanderer Acoustic was released on February 3, 2015. A CD titled The Hydraulic Entertainment Demo's Volume 1 in 2015 was released later this year with demo recordings of songs from Vagabond, Lost Skeleton Returns, Vagabond Acoustic, and Supernatural.

When Worlds Collide, the full-band album that came as the sequel to Lost Skeleton Returns was released in January 2016. In Graves' characteristic manner, there were 11 new songs and mixed punk, horror punk, and monster rock on the album. On Saturday Night, the sequel to the fan favourite song "Crying" is also included, as well as "Dying on Sunday Morning." Graves released the album Bedlam, the acoustic counterpart to When Worlds Collide, in summer 2016. With the song "Feels Like I'm Dying," a new spin on "Dying On Sunday Morning," was introduced. When Worlds Collide Instrumental, Graves, was released in the spirit of Lost Skeleton Returns Instrumental, Graves. Graves and Hydraulic Entertainment made the recordings of When World Collide available to the fans, as well as a limited edition with early versions of the songs.

Graves' album has the entire album with English vocals, translated and sung by Graves. Night of Samhain's original album, sung in Russian by the band's lead singer Michael Shaforostov, is on the second disc. Hydraulic Entertainment CEO Mark Allen Stuart created the album, and it was nominated for an Independent Music Award – Album of the Year. The second double-album Revenge of the Zombies was released in 2015, with acoustic interpretations of songs from Zombies Unite. The first eight tracks are English versions by Graves, while the second eight are Russian interpretations by Night of Samhain.
