Early life
Struycken was born in The Hague, Netherlands, on July 30th. When he was four years old, his family migrated to Curaçao, Netherlands Antilles. At age 15, he performed many Caribbean waltzes. He returned to his homeland, where he completed secondary school, at 16 years old. He graduated from the Amsterdam film school's directing program. He spent a year at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles after that.
Personal life

Career

In 1991, he appeared in the film The Addams Family as butler Lurch. He reprised his role in Addams Family Values, 1993, and the television film Addams Family Reunion. Struycken was also selected by director Barry Sonnenfeld for a small part in Men in Black.
In David Lynch and Mark Frost's hit 1990–91 ABC television series Twin Peaks, he portrayed the mystical guide "The Giant." Twin Peaks: The Return also appears in the 2017 sequel series Twin Peaks: The Return. In the 2017 film Gerald's Game, he appears as the "Moonlight Man."
Struycken collaborated on several projects with writer and director Rene Daalder, including 1986's punk rock musical Population: 1, which featured Tomata du Plenty of The Screamers and was released on DVD in October 2008.
