Bryan Batt Life

Bryan Batt (born March 1, 1963) is an American actor best known for his role in AMC's Mad Men as Salvatore Romano, an art director for the Sterling Cooper agency.

He has appeared in several film and television roles as well as a theater actor.

His appearance in Saturday Night Fever's musical version earned him one of New York City's most coveted awards, a caricature at Sardi's.

Early life

Batt was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, the son of Gayle (Mackenroth), an amateur actor, dancer, and civic activist, and John Batt. His family owned and operated the Pontchartrain Beach amusement park. He attended and graduated from Isidore Newman School (a preparatory school in New Orleans) and Tulane University, where he was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity.

Personal life

Batt married long-time friend Tom Cianfichi, an event planner, on September 28, 2014. Batt and Cianfichi own a home decor and furniture store on New Orleans' Magazine Street. She Ain't Heavy, She's My Mother was Batt's memoir about his mother in 2010. She died in December 2010. Big, Easy, Style, Style, his second book, which focuses on interior design and home furnishings, was published in 2011.
