Bengü Erden (born 23 April 1979) is a Turkish singer.

She became first familiar with music during her time at the Izmir State Symphony Orchestra.

In Izmir, she was cast in a leading role in the musical "Oliver Twist".

She later took singing lessons with Izmir State Conservatory's general manager, Müfit Bayras.

In 1998, by performing a song by Müfit Baysara, she ranked second at the competition Pop Show '98, organized by Mü-Yap and Show TV. She then studied music at Istanbul Academy.

She worked as a backing vocalist for Kenan Dogulu for three years.

Career

After a lengthy planning process of about three to a half years, Bengü's first album, Hoş Geldin, was released in July 2000. Kenan Doulu, ehrazat, Ümit Sayn, and Yldz Tilbe were among the musicians who assisted with the group's preparations. Nine songs and one remix were included in the collection. All of the songs were composed by Ozan Doulu. Cihan Okan and Sla were the vocalists whose voice was heard on the album. All of the album's photographs were taken by Koray Kasap. With this collection, Bengü has appeared at nearly 300 concerts both inside and outside of the country.

Bengü's biggest breakthrough came in 2005 with the debut of her second studio album, Balasan Durmam. She signed a Dokuz Sekiz Müzik and Suat Aydoan's direction, and on this latest album, she collaborated with Serdar Ortaç, Gökhan, Sibel Alaş, and Hakkhan. The songs "Korkumdan Alad" and "Ciddi Ciddi" were written and performed by Bengü himself, and together with the songs "Müjde" and "Balasan Durmam," they were turned into music videos. She was nominated for the "Best Female Pop Singer" award at the Turkey Music Awards. The album Ba'lasan Durmam became one of the year's best-selling albums, selling 52,000 copies by the end of the year. Ba'lasan Durmam was selected as one of the best Turkish albums on NTV in 2000.

Bengü's career was turned upside down in 2007 when the album Taktik brought Bengü's career to a new degree. Serdar Ortaç, Adnan Frat, Kutsi, Alper Narman, and Fettah Can worked on it. The song "Yolcu," which she had written and composed herself on the album, was also included in the collection by Bengü. "Korkma Kalbim," written by Serdar Ortaç and produced by Suat Aydokan, was the first music video form on the album. It later became a huge hit in Turkey. Mü-Yap's digital award for the song's success earned it a digital certificate. It was the 13th most downloaded song on the web in 2007, with 136,430 downloads. Adnan Frat's second song to be turned into a music video was "Unut Beni." It has also been a huge success. The song "Ala Kalbim," which had been shown on Hande Yener's album ahead of time as a demonstration, attracted particular attention from the fans and was used on the soundtrack of the popular film Doktorlar. Despite not having a music video, it has become one of Turkish popular music's most popular works. Taktik's 100,000 copies were sold and became one of the year's best-selling albums.

Gezegen, her fourth studio album, received rave reviews from fans and critics in 2008. Serdar Ortaç, Adnan Frat, Altan etin, and lhan eşen's work were on display on this album. Serdar Ortaç's song "Gezegen," written by Serdar Ortaç and composed by Suat Aydoan, was the first music video for this album. Murat Küçük directed it. Critics, radio stations, and DJs rated the album as one of the year's best songs. In the tabloids, her appearance as a sexy girl wandering in the desert and shaming her man in the music video was long debated. By the year's end, the album had sold 35,000 copies by the end of the year.

Avrupa Müzik released ki Melek, her fifth studio album, in 2009. Serdar Ortaç, ehrazat, Sinan Akçl, and Yalen were among the musicians who performed on the album. Its albums "ki Melek" and "Kocaman püyorum") were ranked number one on Billboard Türkiye and topped the charts for seven weeks, making them one of the year's best albums of the year. At the 13th Istanbul FM Music Awards in 2009, she received the "Best Female Pop Artists" award. Many companies and universities named her as the "Album of the Year" in the same year. Ki Melek ranked 6th on the Hürriyet's list of "2009's Top 20 Artists." By the end of the year, the album had sold 125,000 copies and gained Bengü a gold medal.

"Srada Sen Varsn", her latest maxi single, was announced in the summer of 2010. At the 14th Istanbul FM Golden Awards, Bengü received the "Best Single" award for this album. The single sold 40,000 copies within 25 days of its debut and made a major contribution to Bengü's career.

Bengü appeared on Suat Ateşdal's album in early 2011 and performed the song "Artk Sevmeyece" ("im" in Hebrew. She made her own 2011 album, Dört Dörtlük, with the likes of Sinan Akçl, ehrazat, and Ersay Üner. "Aşkm," the company's lead single, received acclaim. In Turkey, it appeared on Twitter's top 10 trends list. In 2011, with the success of "Aşk"; Bengü became Turkey's most popular artist and singer of the year. Many promo photos were released before the unveiling of Dört Dörtlük's second video "Saat 03:00" was announced, which were met with a lot of curiosity. As the third song from the album to be turned into a music video by director Salih Singin, Bengü selected "Kalbi Olan Ayor" written by Sinan Akçl. "Anlataklarm Var" was released by Bengü in the last months of 2012. She finished her apprenticeship with Avrupa Müzik and formed BNG Müzik, her own design firm. She also signed a new deal with DMC at the same time. "Haberin Olsun" and "Yaral" were two Zeki Güner songs on the single. A total of seven songs arranged by Mustafa Ceceli was released, with various versions for the two songs included. Nihat Odabaş' "Haberin Olsun" was turned into a music video. "Yaral" was the second song to be on a music video. "Yaral" topped Türkçe Top 20 for seven weeks in the summer months and became the country's third-most streamed song of the year. The single was voted as the "Best Single" at the 19th Siyaset Magazine Awards. At the Turkey Music Awards, "Yaral" also received the "Most Played Song of 2014" award.

Bengü began working on a new single after the success of "Yaral," which topped Turkish Top 20 for seven weeks. Fans and critics alike applauded her debut of "Sayg'mdan" in November 2013. Zeki Güner wrote the song and Musefa Ceceli composed it. Burak Ertaş's music video was produced. It was developed by her own firm BNG Müzik and DMC. The song debuted second on Turkey's official music charts in 2013, and at the start of 2014, it debuted ten weeks at number two on the charts. It was also on most radio and TV top charts. Bengü was nominated for the "Best Female Artist" award at the Turkey Music Awards as a result of the success of "Saygmdan" and "Yaral."

She worked with Deniz Erten and Serkan Kavuşan, the music's creators, and Murat Yeter, Bars zesener, Erdem Knay and ay en, who arranged and composed the songs for the album kinci Hal. "Kadar" from Bengü's 2011 album, Dört Dörtlük, appears on the album. Emre Aydn, a new version, was converted into a duet. Bengü's fifth album, "Hodri Meydan," was released by DMC on March 4th, 2016. Deniz Erten and Toylan Kaya wrote it, although Erdem Knay arranged it. On March 7, it was announced on digital media. Demet zdemir, the actress, appears in the song's music video. The music video was shot in an old cable factory in the Ümrani plateaus and in five other locations. It was produced by Gülşen Aybaba. It debuted on the first week of its debut on TTNET Müzik's list of Top Played Songs. Elif Demiralp's latest single, "Yazk," was released on February 15, 2019 as part of a music video directed by Elif Demiralp. Ersay Üner and Volga Tamöz wrote the song's lyrics, while Volga Tamöz was the arranger for the single. She coproduced with Bilal Sons on the album "Quimden Gelmiyor," which was released as a duet alongside a music video in April 2019. DMC's latest single, "Günaydn," by the end of November 2019.
