Career
Darvill joined Stage2 Youth Theatre Company at the age of 10. He served on CITV from 1991 to 2000, and appeared on CITV in 2000, presenting continuity links between the shows; during this period he was billed as Tom Darvill. He left in 2001 and founded Fuego's Men, a male theatre company that performed in the Midlands. Darvill and four others from youth theatre met in London at the age of 21, with each gaining a spot in a drama academy. They both moved into a house in White City together. Darvill studied drama at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and is also an actor trained in stage combat.
In Edmund White's Terre Haute, which ran in Edmund White's Assembly Rooms during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Darvill made his professional debut playing criminal Harrison.
