Anthony Carrigan cast as Metamorpho in highly anticipated film Superman: Legacy, July 13, 2023
Anthony Carrigan, 40, has been cast at the DC hero Metamorpho in the upcoming film Superman: Legacy, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Slated to premiere on July 11, 2025, the Barry star will join David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan as Superman and Lois Lane respectively. The news is fresh off of the Fatherhood's Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his role as NoHo Hank in the HBO series Barry. It's the third time he's been nominated in the same Emmy category for his Barry role. Despite the critical acclaim the actor has received for his work over the years, he admitted to Deadline that he was 'gobsmacked' when he learned that he was cast in Superman: Legacy.

SAG-AFTRA president Fran Drescher and Elizabeth McLaughlin were also on hand to announce the nominees in the stunt categories.

The 2023 SAG Awards, which has yet to announce a host, will be held on 26 Feb. and, starting this year, the star-studded award show will air live on Netflix, a decision that was announced shortly before they revealed their nominations. Netflix will stream the show next month on YouTube before switching over to its main platform in 2024.
