Allen Maldonado Career

Life and career

Maldonado grew up in California. He was mainly raised by his mother as he lost his father at a young age. Maldonado is of Puerto Rican and African-American descent.

His first big role was in Friday's After Next, and he thanks Ice Cube for his "first shot on set." Maldonado began making short films that had appeared on several film circuits and gained various accolades soon after. However, he found this dissatisfying because after the short film came, it would stop and cease to exist elsewhere. Kenya Barris, a game designer who appeared on Black-ish, inspired him to create an app that specialized in getting short films notoriety. Everybody Digital, which has been dubbed "the Netflix of short films," has been released on October 3, 2017.

Maldonado appeared in the 2018 remake of the 1972 film Super Fly, joining the cast. He appears in TBS' The Last O.G. series. Cousin Bobby, a fictional character that develops alongside Tracy Morgan's lead character Tray, becomes Cousin Bobby.
