Career
Alexandra Hedison is a fine art photographer. Hedison and others appeared at Rose Gallery in Bergamot Station, Los Angeles, in 2002.
She first displayed the (Re)Building collection in 2005, which explored themes of loss, migration, and recovery, while using building as a metaphor for memory in the subconscious's architecture. Ithaka, a series of large format photographs titled Ithaka, which takes its name from a CP Cavafy poem of the same name, was shot in North America's temperate rain forest. Ithaka was the first exhibit in London and included in The New Yorker's 2008 Passport to the Arts and Month of Photography Los Angeles the following year.
Hedison's work has been included in public and private collections around the world, and her photographs have been seen in solo and group exhibitions in galleries and museums throughout the United States and Europe, including Los Angeles, New York, and London.
In 2008, Barclays Capital selected Hedison for international sponsorship.
Hedison's Center of Cultural Intelligence in Singapore sponsored a number of books in 2009.
