Christian Benteke, the club's highest signing, struggles to score from penalty spot in the first game

www.dailymail.co.uk, September 5, 2022
After new signing Christian Benteke's missed a second-half penalty, DC United was resigned to a goalless deadlock against Colorado Rapids. The striker signed for United nearly a month ago and was waiting for his work visa to be processed, but Wayne Rooney's turbulent start began on Sunday. In the first five minutes, Benteke had a couple of good scoring opportunities. He attempted to score on headers both times. One attempt was blocked, and the other went to the left of the goal.
