Career

She has appeared in films such as Cellular and played Grace Santiago, a key character in Nip/Tuck, but she left the series only after the first season. She has appeared in series such as Grey's Anatomy and Las Vegas. In SciFi Channel's adaptation of The Dresden Files, she appeared as Connie Murphy, a tough Chicago police detective. The show ran for one season.

Maria Nolan appeared on The CW's Hidden Palms. She appeared in Dexter's third season in 2008, as Syl Prado, Assistant District Attorney Miguel Prado's wife (Jimmy Smits).

She appeared in The Devil's Tomb and the HBO series True Blood, in which she appeared as Isabel in 2009. Cruz appeared in the film La Linea the same year.
