Tim Renwick Life

Timothy John Pearson Renwick (born 7 August 1949 in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England) is an English guitarist.

He is best known for his early career with Al Stewart and his long-serving role as the lead guitarist for The Sutherland Brothers and Quiver.

On their 1987 and 1994 tours, as well as accompanying the band at their Live 8 show, he appeared with Pink Floyd on many occasions.

Career

Renwick was born in Cambridge and grew up. As did future Floyd members Syd Barrett and Roger Waters, he reached his 11th birthday and subsequently attended Cambridgeshire High School for Boys. He began playing guitar when he was 14 and progressed to playing in local bands in 1963. Throughout the decade, he appeared with Little Women, Wages of Sin, Junior's Eyes, The Hype, Quiver (later Sutherland Brothers & Quiver) and Lazy Racer. He also worked at Abbey Road Studios with Pete Moss for the Sutherland Brothers and Al Stewart. He did session work for Elton John, Procol Harum, Andy Gibb, Bridget St. John, Gary Brooker, Jim Cooper, Gary Brooker, Eric Clapton, Eric Clapton, David Byron, David Byron, Gibson Waters, John McLaughl, Jonathan Kelly, Sally Oldfield, Maggie Reilly, and Brian Joseph Friel, Robert Robert Friel, Brownsville.
