🏴‍☠️ Hanging (literally) at the top of the mast of a 52’ yacht... cowes_week was awesome fun 🏴‍☠️ 🌊 We came last in our race. By 40 minutes. The spinnaker sheet got tangled around our engine. We tore our jig-sail. The cutlery drawer below deck came out and sent knives and forks whizzing everywhere. And we bumped into a huge yacht when mooring… but everyone kept their full compliment of fingers, and no one got hit on the head by the boom. 🌊 💙 A BIG thank-you to mustoclothing for kitting us out with proper sailing gear. I have loved you forever (used to wear your jackets out riding as a little girl). And thank you chathamfootwear — not worn boat shoes before and now never want to take them off. They’re as comfortable as slippers!! 💙 🍹It was exciting when the mountgayrum boat came and delivered drinks (even kindly providing ginger beer for us non-drinkers. Or maybe I stole the mixer..?). Thomas was so rum-happy he held his cup right in front of my face for the photo…🍹 🦞 Oh, and I got so very sunburnt that my lips actually swelled up. I didn’t know that could happen. 🦞 ✨We had the calmest, nicest skipper imaginable. ☀️Thank you zafrushdie natalierushdie and greenroomvip for a wonderful day ascotracecourse yesterday☀️ 🐎 Afternoon tea and horses: two of my very favourite things 🐎 💰We both gave ourselves a £5 per race limit. Thomas had an uncanny knack of picking winning horses and did very well. I was down £10 by the end of the day… 💰 🤪These photos are a continuation of my, ‘overly-emoting at sporting events,’ Instagram series🤪 👒 The boys were forced to wear our hats for the final pic. I think safe to say they wore them better 👒 xx

🎾Have been in giggles for days at these candid shots from wimbledon 🎾 🍾We posed very demurely at the champagnelanson sign — Thank you, Lanson, for having us! And for feeding us all day long (lamb wellington, strawberries-and-cream, afternoon tea, pick-and-mix to take to court, lots of Lanson for Thomas. Yum.) But didn’t quite realise how visible we were (all day long…) while watching the tennis. 🍾 I usually describe myself as ‘stoic,’ but having seen these images I’m quite sure I can no longer make that claim… In a previous era, these might also be titled: ‘Why not to take your girlfriend to a sporting event.’ I honestly don’t know why I’m yawning/appear to be asleep in a lot of these shots. I was genuinely riveted by the matches. And thank you again, champagnelanson for having us and for your very generous hospitality. 🖤🧷It was also lovely to have a mini pistol reunion with emmajappleton🧷🖤 💙And thank you mrselfportrait for the loan of such a pretty dress.
